Hyperness and snowstorms

Spoke to my mum last night. She said I'm a witch :O
I asked her why? And she said that I've been talking about how I want there
to be snow so we can go snowboarding when we are back home.
And now there is loads of snow! :D She even said there is a snowstorm.
So she might not be able to pick us up from the airport. We shall see.
Worst case scenario is that we might have to take the bus. No worries though!

I'm going hoooooome tomorrow :D :D
I was so hyper on the way to work. Was jumping up and down in the car.
Whilst Ads was looking at me like I was a right fool :P
I asked him if it was too early to be this hyper. He said: Yes.
So I did it even more hahaha

Can't wait to go back home. To leave this place for a bit.
To get away from all the negativity in work and the two faced people there.
To be amongst people I love and just have loads of fun.

I will be updating the blog much more from there and take lots of pics!
:D

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas ♥

Christmas wishes

I wrote this post yesterday, but did not publish it..

Just sitting here in the offce and doing some work (cough yeah cough).
The radio is playing Christmas songs.
I remember when I worked in House of Fraser 2 years ago.
All they did was playing the same cd day in and day out.
Same Christmas song with 3-4 different covers!
It made me hate Christmas songs for quite a while, but I'm slowly starting to appreciate them again :)
Spent Sunday playing them loudly and singing along!
Love Mariah Careys "All I want for Christmas".

I spent my first Christmas in England all by myself..
Ok I'm lying, I spent Christmas Eve with a girl I worked with back then.
She is from Latvia and she made dinner and we sat and drank some lovely wine and Swedish
chocolates that I had brought with me. Was nice :)
And Christmas dinner was spent at Adams aunties place.
Was funny to see how they celebrate Christmas :)

Adam went to Florida that Christmas. I chose not to go because I had just started a new job,
and they did not let me have holidays in December. I regretted it alot afterwards.
But it wont happen again! Last year me and Adam spent the week before Christmas in lovely,
beautiful Las Vegas. Our 2nd home :p haha.

It started abit of a disaster (late flights/snow in Vegas for the first time in 40 years so we lost 1.5 days in Vegas).
But in the end we had the best time ever. It is the best Christmas I've ever had.
I wish we could go back this year :P But we are going home to Sweden! Something I am looking forward to :)
Alot. Not celebrated Christmas at home since 2006. Can't believe it's been that long.
It's almost 3 years since me and Adam started talking to each other :P

We didn't meet up until 6th of February 2007, but we fell for each other around the 29th of December :X
Awwww. Haha.

I loved that jacuzzi we had in our room :P I had 2 baths a day haha. Was so nice and comfy!
We stayed in Em Gee Em ;)
We had the best time ever, no matter how difficult it was to get there..
I would do it all again if it meant I cud spend Christmas there again :X

Do you have any favourite Christmas memory?

Pick me a flower, any will do

 ♥

Todays Pon & Zi picture makes me giggle :D
Pon does anything for Zi. Bless. And Zi just looks akward :/
Wonder what Zi is thinking. I'd be happy if I got one rose once in a while!
Be greatful that Pon would walk on a cactus for you!! Haha.

Catch me

Todays Pon & Zi

This picture is so sad. Feel sorry for Pon. I can relate to this picture.
Sometimes all I've ever wanted was to have someone to love me and someone to love.
Felt extremely lonely and sometimes I almost lost hope that it would happen again.
I hope he catches Zi one day :p

Mamma

I love my mother more than anything.
We have a very complicated mother/daughter relationship.
She has a very old fashioned mind at times.
And I'm born and raised in Sweden so I have kinda taken that lifestyle over the Bosnian one.
Which has caused alot of fights and disagreements over the years.

My mother is a very strongheaded individual. She does not forgive easily
and she can hold a grudge for a very long time.
That's one of her worst traits.
But she is a wonderful mother.
She would do anything (and has done) anything she could for me and my younger brother.
Sometimes she does too much and we've taken her for granted.

We used to argue alot when I lived back home, but since I moved to England it's been better between us.
We talk alot more now than we used to.
I just wish my mother would know how much she means to me and how greatful I am to her.
I want her to think of herself for once. And let us live our lives and make our own mistakes.
Maybe I will understand her better when I have my own children.

Yesterday was her 51st birthday. Wish I could have hugged her.

This picture is from her 50th birthday last year. It was an amazing day.

♥ you Mamma

Do you have a good relationship with your mum?

Memories

This was a collage I made earlier this year. Think it was for when I had lived here for 2 years :)
I did not post it on the blog. Only on Facebook. So I thought I'd post it now instead.
It has pictures from various occasions :) Some are from Manchester and some are from Sweden, Liverpool, Kings Lynn and even sunny Benidorm haha :P

Each picture represents me and the things I love the most.
Family, friends, music, alcohol (haha), entertainment etc.
I don't know what the future holds for me, or where I will be the next few years,
but I hope that I will still be happy and have my loved ones witth me on my journey.
Wether they are close by or miles away ♥

Miss you

 ♥
One of the people I miss the most at the moment. My lil sister.

My loveli B-day

I woke up really early yesterday :) No, not just to open my presents :P haha.
Adam gave me the bag with his presents and it was the most loveliest gift bag ever.
I'm a girl I appreciate the small things in life! lol.
It was pink (my favourite colour! and it had butterflies on it :X awww)
Anyways!

I was supposed to have gone for a massage yesterday, but then I woke up with the worst cold ever.
Why on my b-day? Who knows.
I will have to have the massage done some other day.

I did not want to let the cold get to me though so I kept smiling and feeling very giddy all day :D
Thanks to the lovely people around me that kept me happy :)
Got a lovely card from a dear friend x
And all the gifts and attention made me forget about the cold.

I even made an effort to make myself look all pretty for the dinner :P
Not worn make up for weeks :X

We went to East z East which is a lovely Indian restaurant here in Manchester.
The food is d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s and they have the biggest Naan bread in the world hahaha honestly!
And then we went to a bar to watch the 2nd half of the United game :P I felt bad for Ads missing the game.
And I don't mind watching football! They won 2-1 haha :P

But while we were sitting there watching the game I felt so ill :/
And I decided that the rollerdisco would have to happen some other time.
Felt abit bad about it, but health before anything else right?

All in all a wonderful birthday :D Unforgettable :D
And here are some pictures of the things I got :)

I got this lovely Thomas Sabo box to keep my bracelet and the charms in ♥
And I got the guitar and the cherry too :D Finally got some colours to my loveli bracelet.
I love it so much! :D

I got 2 books that I wanted :D Can't decide which one to start reading first.
Decisions! I hate making decisions lol.
And a voucher to buy some cool iPhone applications. Again I need to decide which apps to buy! lol

This was one of two gifts that had not arrived in time, so I got these in the middle of the day.
Ads picked me up in a Toyota IQ (I love that car!! I want one myself!Well when I learn to drive)
and we went to his parents house to collect the package. In it was this blue ray of Twilight :)
I love the books so much ♥
And the other gift was...

A beautiful pink (!) D&G watch :D I was in shock when I saw it!
I love it sooo much ♥ it is absolutely gorgeous :D
I could not wear it last night though, because it is a bit big for me and I need to get it shortened.
Perfect for special nights out :)
Ads knows what I like :D he bought me my Guess watch a couple of years ago and I love it so much.

I also got some chocolates and rose. Waiting for me in the fridge :P
And I got a really good book from a dear friend :) Thank you once again.
It is a book about creative writing :) very interesting!

So thank you once again for all the birthday wishes/songs/cards and everything else :D
You made my day unforgettable ♥

My best friends wedding

So about a month ago we went back to Sweden to attend one of my oldest and best friends wedding.
It was a beautiful day and I was so happy that I had the chance to be there on her big day :)

I can't post any pictures of the ceremony or the bride and groom.
She asked me not to. They want it to be private and I will respect that.
I am going to post some pictures of me and the other people that were there and some
pics from the reception :)

J & J have been dating for 10 long years. I remember when they first met (I was there hehe)
They are truly meant to be together. Both have so much love to give to each other but also to others.
All my love to them and best wishes in their new life as married.

♥ Volim vas ♥

One of my other best and oldest friend. She moved to Switzerland 4 years ago to be with her lovely bf ♥

♥ Friends always ♥

And then the party got crazy hahaha :D
A lot of dancing till early o'clock :P
We had both balkan music and latin music. It was amazing :D
The girl in the greenish top next to me. She is Emilia and she sings "I'm a big big girl in a big big world" :D
If anyone knows who I mean... Well she was one of my favourite singers when I was younger :P
And she is soooo sweet irl! :D
The guy in the crazy shirt is my lil brother :) He is one awesome dancer! ♥

I will remember this day forever.

Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

My beautiful friend ♥

Wales

Last week, Sunday to be exact, Ads took me to Wales.
We woke up around 8 and he asked if I wanted to go for a ride.
I said ok.
Where we going?

An hour later we were on our way to Wales! :D
I'd only been there once before. Years ago and I went to Cardiff that time.

We started in a little town called Rhyl. It was quiet there that day.
But the beach was just amazing. I took my shoes off straight away and ran around on the beach :)
Felt like a kid haha. Dancing and jumping around (I got a video of it haha, but not sure how to upload it on here)

I even went into the water. Only a wee bit though :) The water was so cold and nice.
I love the beach. The smell of the sea and the sand on my toes and feet.
It fills me with happiness being there. And the sun was shining :)
Made my day.

We also went to Llandudno :) I had no idea Wales had such beautiful beaches!
Loved walking around the promenade and just taking it all in. Hearing the seagulls.

We finished the trip in Conwy where we went to the castle.
I love castles (Even thought of writing a post about it hehe)
It was very old and the views from it were amazing :)

Here are some pictures from that day..
(Oh how I wish I was there now...)

In Rhyl

Alot of feet haha. (Don't like my feet at all)
But love the feeling of sand and water on them :D
I love the print of my foot in the sand. Cool! :D
That's at Rhyl beach.

On our way to Llandudno. Beautiful.

Llandudno :D Lovely, beautiful place. I could easily spend some days there next summer.

And lovely Conwy castle :)
Beautiful day.

I recommend you all to go there one day ;)

(Picture quality is not the best. Using my iPhone because my digi died in Sweden..)

My lil sister

My sister is the cutest, most smartest 7 year old I know :)
She started school last Monday. Bless her :D
Here are some pics we took while we were there.

(Pics are from an iPhone. Not the best :/ )

I miss her so much and can't wait till I see her again. Which will be for X-mas.
Going to spoil her loads! :D
She wants a gym for her little petshop pets haha :P Kids!

Balkan

My heart will always beat for Bosnia. I'm born in Sweden and raised there.
Both of my parents are bosnian. I used to go there every summer when I was a child.
Before the war. The war that changed our lives forever.

I remember the summers in Bosnia. We started with a couple of weeks in Croatia by the sea.
Some of my fondest memories as a child are from there.
When we used to arrive to the little village where my parents originate from (called Siprage),
my late grandfather used to go to the neighbouring village and get a lamb (cruel yes..but it was the way it was)
The grown ups prepared the food and the kids were all playing outside on the swings or playing games.

I loved my house in Bosnia. It was big and everything inside it was beautiful.
My parents worked so hard back in Sweden to be able to afford the best in Bosnia.

My uncles and their families lived there (mums side). So did my late nan.
We used to spend a month being with our loved ones and enjoy life.
Never did we believe that our beloved paradise would be destroyed one day.

We did not go to Bosnia 1989,because my dad had a surgery.
The following year the war broke out. I was only a child, but I knew it meant the end of everything I held dear.
My parents were so worried, they did not want us to know.
I remember watching the news when the lovely bridge in Mostar got bombed to pieces. We were all crying.

My mums entire family was still in Bosnia, and we were worried about them.
One of my cousins managed to come to Sweden and he stayed with us.
My uncle, nan and his family had to leave and they went to Zagreb/Croatia.
And eventually they went to Germany. Where I spent many summers.

I could tell you stories that would make your hairs stand up, but that is not what I want.
We could not go to Bosnia for 13 years because of the war. I remember when it was time for us to return.
The country had been divided between Serbs and Muslim/Croats.
The village I used to call my home was in serbian territory and my mum was scared and anxious.
She had to get anti depressants because she did not know what to expect.
Our house had been raided during the war,and nothing but the walls were left...

I remember feeling sadness mixed with joy while we were driving across the border from Croatia into Bosnia.
Everything had changed. Houses were in ruins and flags had changed.
No longer was there a Yugoslavian flag, that had been replaced with different ones. Not my flag.
I did not feel as I belonged anymore.

I never felt like I belonged in Sweden either. I was classed a foreigner there, and when I went to Bosnia I was classed a Swede. Where did I belong? Who was I?

If you ask me what I am, I will proudly tell you I'm a Bosnian in my heart and mind.

I have not been there since 2003. I lost so much that summer. I have not been able to go back since.
I do want to go back soon. I feel such sadness when I think about what I'm missing.

Next part about Balkan will be it's music :)
Something that is very dear to me.

♥ Bosno Moja ♥

Pictures from Bosnia when I was younger and also after the war. Pictures of me and my loved ones ♥

Almost time

Only a couple of hours till I'm going back home.
I still class it as home even though I've been here for over 2 years.
Manchester does not feel like home.. I don't think it ever will.
Something is missing it this city. At least for me.
If it was not for Ads I would not be here at all.

We are arriving to Stockholm Skavsta (airport) just before midnight.
Can't wait to wake up tomorrow and realise I'm in my old room in my mums flat :D
She will be in the kitchen preparing a huge breakfast (as usual) and I will be soooo happy!

Looking forward to spending as much time as possible with my family
and my friends that I've not seen for a very long time (too long).

I'm hoping my writers block will lift whilst I'm in Sweden.
Fingers crossed.

Have a wonderful weekend dear friends.

Leave me comments and I will try and blog from Sweeeden ;)

Stockholm here we come! ♥

My new lovelies

Bargain of the century! Well ok maybe a wee bit exaggerated :p
But I got these beauties for a silly amount. And I love them!
They are very high, so I do get very tall in them :P Oh well, not my fault everyone is short around me :/

Lovelies

I bought quite a lot when I was in US of A *chuckles*
But my favourite things were these 2 :P

My beautiful little clutch by Marc Jacobs♥ :D I wear it as a clutch,it fits the necessary things when I go out ;)
Absoulutely adore it. It is so me it's untrue :p

My beautiful Thomas Sabo bracelet is amazing :) I love my charms so much.
They each represent different things for me that are close to my heart.
Can't wait to add on more to the collection :P
Next one I'm wishing for is a red strawberry. It needs a bit of colour :)

I won't bore you with the rest of the things I bought over there :P
But it was LOADS :D I love going to America because it is so much cheaper there and the clothes are much nicer :)

Things I'm looking forward to

The next few months are not going to be very eventful,if you compare the last few ones.
Ok now I'm lying :P
I am going home to Sweden next week, which I'm soooo excited about.
Can't wait to see my family and friends again.

Especially my childhood friends.
It has been quite a while since we were all gathered.
One of us lives in Switzerland (she moved there 4 years ago to be with her boyfriend) and then I moved to England to be with mine 2 years ago (see a trend? haha) and the other one she is still in Sweden.
She is the one that is getting married in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see them tie the knot :P

We are going to stay for about 10 days. First time in ages that we are there for more than a few days!
I will have time to do ALL the things I love to do when I'm back home.
Going to have long walks along the beach and the hills that I miss so much.
I don't have that here in Manchester :( It is all grey buildings and even more grey skies haha.

And I will be eating all my favourite food! My mum is one of the best cooks I know (and I know quite a few, most of my family are chefs or awesome at cooking, apart from me haha :P I just don't enjoy it...)

My favourite food back home is a pizza (of course) called Calzone. I've not seen one of those in England yet...
Not ONCE.
It's the folded one and in Sweden they fill it with ham and cheese and sometimes they have mushrooms too.
It is d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s! I would have that every day if I could! But my mum would not like it :P

Looking forward to going shopping aswell ;) A girl has to do some shopping!

But most of all I'm looking forward to spending some time with my loves ones.
My mum who I did not use to get along with when I lived back home.. Well we have put our differences aside now
and we can have nornal conversations (well most of the times). Going to take her to Djurgarden. It's lovely there.
Also looking forward to seeing my little rascal sister :) she is growing too fast. Feels like I'm missing out :(
 Me and my Mamma :)

Djurgården

I will take lots of pictures while I'm there and update daily so you can follow me back home :P

3 favourite places

I love to travel. And I've been fortunate to be able to go on holidays quite a lot the last few years.
There is nothing better than going abroad and explore new places.
To learn about their history and do fun things :D
It's not all about shopping and sunbathing ;)
I'm going to list 3 of my favourite places I love to go to.
(Click on the pictures to see them larger)

Las Vegas
What an amazing place it is. I have been twice now and I love it more the more time I spend there.
The Casinos/Hotels are just amazing and soooo incredibly over the top.
The shopping is great too :P You wont leave without a huge hole in your wallet haha.
Weather was brilliant the 2nd time went. Sun shining all day long, and the temperature was hot all day long.
I would recommend people to go during the summer time.

I will put some new pics from Las Vegas when I get home tonight ;)

Stockholm/Vårby Gård
Feels weird to think of Stockholm as a holiday place to go to. For me at least.
I'm born and raised there,so it is first and foremost home to me.
But the last 2 years I've been living in Manchester/England and I've only been back home the odd times to
see my family. Okay I'm more lucky than some people who have moved abroad. I usually go back 3-4 times a year.
I love spending time with my family.
And I love Stockholm city centre. Love walking around the streets in old town, see the old buildings and museums.
I miss having the option to go there whenever I want.
I guess you appreciate it more when you don't have it.
Food is so much better back home as well haha.
Drinking is very expensive which usually puts us off from getting hammered :P
Shopping is the same, but some of my favourite shops are still visited when I go back ;)

Bosnia ♥
My heart will always belong to this beautiful country. My parents are both from Bosnia.
I'm born and raised in Sweden. I don't class myself as Swedish. More as a Swedish Bosnian.
I am very proud of my roots. And I love the music from former Yugoslavia.
Some of my favourite food is from there :P
The people are lovely, genuine and crazy like myself haha.
And the country has some of the most breath taking views I've seen.
I have not been there since 2003, but I hope that I will see it soon again.

Siprage is where my parents are from. We got a house there.
Some of my cousins and one of my uncles still live there.

Sarajevo, capital city of Bosna&Hercegovina. Beautiful city with so much history.
Want to go back there.

Mostar, the ottoman turks built that bridge sometime in the 500's. It got destroyed during the war..
But it got reconstructed in the early 2000's with help from countries like Spain,Turkey, Italy, USA and Netherlands.
They even used some of the original bricks that they salvaged from the river.
Beautiful city I want to go back to one day.

Adam passed the test

Last Wednesday Adam passed his driving test :)
Here are some pics from that day.
Still very proud of him :)
And can't wait till we get a car so we can finally explore Greater Manchester and beyond!

Celebration

Yesterday Ads had his driving test, he was really nervous poor thing.
I really wanted him to get it because he had really tried hard and had
lots of driving classes etc.
So when he called me after the test I was nervous for him, but he said what I expected him to say.
"Get the champagne out" hahaha :D He PASSED! I am so happy for him :)
Now we have to get a car....
The questions are "what type", "how much will it cost us", "what insurance" etc.
Cars are a right headache haha, but they are useful!
We wont have to rely on other people to drive us and we can finally explore northern England :)
I have been here for 2 years and I've still not been to the lake district.. Looking forward to being able to just
drive off and leave Manchester for a bit. Even if it's only for a day.

So after work Ads opened the Champagne (have it on video haha) and we toasted :D
He does not like Champagne... So it ended up with me having almost the whole bottle for myself!
Yummy! It was delicious. Got a picture I will put up later :p

We went to Zizzi's and had pizza. It was nice when we got there and sat facing the canal and the sun was shining.
But it took them forever to take our order, and while we waited for the food the sun had gone so we went inside.
And we were still waiting for the food! Don't like waiting an hour for my food :X
Oh well. At least the food was delicious when it finally arrived :)
I would recommend Zizzi to others, but be aware that you might have to wait a long time.

So all in all it was a wonderful Wednesday :D

My turn to take the drivers license now :X Ooooh the pressure!!!

5 things I Love about me

5 things I love about me:

• My eyes

• My lips

• My smile

• My hands

• My bum

I don't often say good things about myself, but I got reminded today that it is important to be positive about yourself.
You don't always have to hear it from others :)

I got the idea after reading another girls blog.
